Day 1 — Budapest highlights

Budapest Zoo in City Park, Széchenyi thermal bath outdoor pools, Heroes Square, ice cream on Váci Street.
Day 2 — Visegrád and Esztergom

Drive to Visegrád (1 hour) — kids love the hilltop castle and the summer toboggan run. Continue to Esztergom. Overnight near Balaton.
Day 3 — Lake Balaton

Southern shore beaches. Siófok waterpark. Swimming and paddleboat hire. Overnight in Balatonfüred.
Day 4 — Tihany and return
