Day by Day
Day 1 — Hortobágy

Drive to Hortobágy National Park (2h 15m). Nine-arch Bridge and Hortobágy csárda for lunch. Afternoon csikós horsemen demonstration. Birdwatching at sunset — grey herons and egrets. Overnight in Hortobágy village or Debrecen.
Day 2 — Debrecen and return

Early morning birdwatching — best light before 8am. Drive to Debrecen for lunch and the Great Reformed Church. Return to Budapest (2h 30m) via M35 and M3.
